International Print Triennial – Kraków 2012

Suzanne Chouteau, Printmaking Faculty has recently been accepted into the 2012 International Print Triennial in Krakow.





International jury teams held their proceedings between 2nd and 6th July, which led to the selection of works for theInternational Print Triennial – Kraków 2012, as well as MTG exhibitions
in ViennaOldenburgIstanbul and Falun, and PrintArt Kraków – Katowice. Thanks to the cooperation between partners of the Europe-based International Print Network, newest prints from all over the world will be shown throughout Europe. Each of these exhibitions will be an independent and separate showcase of modern print, chosen from the vast pool of works sent to Kraków.
The selection jury of Stage II of MTG – Kraków 2012 comprising of: Endi Poskovic – Chairman, Peter Ford, Robert Svoboda, Andrzej Szczerski and Katarzyna Wojtyga, have reviewed over 2 thousand prints from all over the world. The works represent a full range of techniques – from traditional to digital, from multimedia to installations and objects, as well as works “in progress”. The exhibition in Bunkier Sztuki, which will be opened on 14th September, will showcase over 300 works by 230 artists from 53 different countries. The exhibition will also present the current face of modern artistic print, as all the pieces shown will be premiere works.
The Award Jury of MTG – Kraków 2012 comprising of: Endi Poskovic – Chairman, Peter Ford, Robert Svoboda and Andrzej Bednarczyk has awarded the MTG – Kraków 2012 Grand Prix, as well as statutory and sponsored prizes.
